WATER & WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

Some of the treatment plants we have worked on:

Metro Water Services: Omohundro Water Treatment Plant Substation/Emergency Power Building (2016)
TSG has provided structural engineering for the new building housing the proposed state of the art switch gear and all new generators. This is an “Essential Facility” for Metro Water Services as it provides all the emergency power generation to serve the entire facility.

Waynesboro Wastewater Treatment Plant – SBR, Waynesboro, TN (2012)
TSG provided structural engineering services to the consulting team for this project. The project is a new SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) and associated walkways and support functions. SBR is a concrete structure 100′ x 80′ x 25′ deep. The interior of the structure is compartmentalized into tanks, filters, digesters, and various support functions. The fluid containing portions of the structure and all horizontal surfaces will be constructed from reinforced concrete while the interior partitions that are not fluid containing will be composed of concrete masonry units.

Metro Nashville Water Services: K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plant Electrical Building (2010)krh-generators
TSG provided structural engineering services to the consulting team for this project. The project included a two story building (approx. 15,000) that housed all of the 4160V switch gear for the 90 MGD facility and emergency power generation to serve the entire facility. The Owner for this project chose to designate this building as an essential facility that amplified the seismic design category to “D”.

Bowling Green KY Municipal Utilities: Waste Water Treatment Plant (2009)
TSG provided structural engineering services to the consulting team for this project. This project consisted of a new 30MGD waste water treatment plant that was designed for phased implementation with the existing facilities. The new plant included influent screening, grit removal pump station, sequential batch reactors, UV disinfection, post aeration, as well as solids processing with a four centrifuge dewatering system.

Metro Nashville Water Services: White’s Creek Waste Water Pump Station (2009)dscf2921
TSG provided structural engineering services for the consulting team for this project. The project included a new 50 MGD pump station. The facility included duty wet well and wet weather wells with dry pit pumps. The station also included a new maintenance building above the station.

Knoxville TN Utility Board: Shipetown Pump Station (2006)
TSG provided structural engineering services to the consulting team for this project. The project included a 10 MGD cast in place waste water pump station, odor control facilities, emergency power generation, and a new electrical building.
